MC Café

The MC Café has been closed since 1 January 2026. Escher in The Palace is going to develop the location into a new place for education, meetings and inspiring public programmes. The museum will offer activities that give visitors even more insight into Escher's life and work, from creative workshops to in-depth discussions and collaborations with partners from the city. Escher in The Palace looks forward to welcoming you here in the future in a new, vibrant environment where discovery and learning take centre stage.

The MC Café is a pleasant place to take a break in your museum visit. It is housed in the former kitchen of Queen Emma, the Queen Mother.

Museum shop

The museum shop is located on the ground floor in one of the beautiful rooms of the Palace. It is managed and staffed by volunteers, all the proceeds are used for Art and Culture projects in The Hague and the Escher collection of the Museum.
