On 30 October, we will be celebrating the closing of the exhibition Escher & Islamic Art: 20 Perspectives. The museum will stay open later that evening and invites visitors to experience the exhibition one last time, in a special atmosphere and with extra activities.
There will be live music in the Ballroom, and on the first floor, Irem Sezer Kalyoncu and Emin Batman will be leading guided tours of the exhibition. Curators Qasim Arif and Mireille Linck will also be present to chat with visitors about the exhibition, the artworks and the stories behind them.
In the basement, artist Inge Aanstoot will be running a tessellation workshop, where visitors can try their hand at creating patterns and repetitions. Of course, there will also be an opportunity to chat over snacks and drinks and enjoy the evening together.
The standard museum admission price applies to the closing event. A separate ticket is therefore not required. The ticket office will remain open all evening, so that visitors who happen to drop by can also come in and join us in bringing the exhibition to a festive close.
Come along to see, listen, create and join in the conversation during the Closing Celebration of Escher & Islamic Art: 20 Perspectives.
