Your entrance ticket to Escher in The Palace also allows you to visit West Den Haag and Museum Bredius free of charge! West Den Haag hosts an exhibition featuring 36 contemporary artists. The beautiful 18th-century building of Museum Bredius contains 200 paintings and drawings, including works by famous masters such as Rembrandt, Jan Steen, Aert van de Neer and Meindert Hobbema.
In 2023, it is 125 years since M.C. Escher (1898-1972) was born. Escher in The Palace celebrates this with a special exhibition on Escher and his teacher and close friend Samuel Jessurun de Mesquita. This exhibition complements the permanent exhibition with the best-known works from Escher's oeuvre.

Dutchman Maurits Cornelis Escher (1898-1972) is one of the most famous graphic artists in the world. The way he plays with perspective, space and reality means he remains fascinating even today. The highlights of his collection can be seen in Escher in The Palace.
