Escher in The Palace is joining Museum Night The Hague again. We have put together a great programme that allows you to be amazed, but also to get actively involved. Of course, during the evening you will be able to enjoy the beautiful prints of M.C. Escher. Will we see you there?
Polytope sculpture by Ludmila Rodrigues
Artist, designer and movement researcher Ludmila Rodrigues merges architecture, time and public participation through choreographic objects and spatial interventions. In her performance at Escher in The Palace, she presents Polytope, an interactive sculpture composed of crisscrossed tetrahedrons that can be folded endlessly. Accompanied by live music by cellist Wen Chin Fu and dancer Boston Gallacher, the sculpture will come alive.

Workshop monoprint
From November onwards, Escher in The Palace will show the extraordinary prints of Julie de Graag. This contemporary of M.C. Escher was active during the period when Art Nouveau flourished and, like Escher, she had a great love of nature. By looking very closely, both artists were able to depict flowers, plants and animals in both detail and simplicity. In the workshop, you can create your own monoprint inspired by the beloved themes of Julie de Graag and M.C. Escher!
